Key Responsibilities
Consultants at IOM are expected to:
- Conduct research on migration trends, policies, and best practices.
- Develop and implement projects that support migration management.
- Provide technical expertise in areas such as migration law, humanitarian aid, and development.
- Assist in capacity-building programs for governments and partner organizations.
- Draft reports, policy recommendations, and strategy documents.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including UN agencies, NGOs, and government bodies.
Who Can Apply?
IOM is looking for professionals with:
- A master’s degree (or higher) in international relations, migration studies, public policy, law, or a related field.
- At least 3-5 years of relevant work experience in migration, humanitarian aid, policy development, or related fields.
- Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.
- Experience working with international organizations, NGOs, or government agencies is an advantage.
- Proficiency in English is required, while knowledge of other UN languages (French, Spanish, Arabic, etc.) is a plus.
