Key Responsibilities
Interns at UNAIDS are assigned a wide range of tasks depending on the department and current projects. Typical responsibilities may include:
- Conducting research and analysis on HIV/AIDS-related issues
- Supporting communications and awareness campaigns
- Assisting in data collection, entry, and visualization
- Drafting reports, policy briefs, and internal documents
- Participating in team meetings and contributing to project planning
Interns work under the supervision of a designated staff member and are expected to bring creativity, motivation, and collaboration to the role.
Who Can Apply?
The UNAIDS Internship Programme is open to students and recent graduates from around the world. To be eligible, applicants must:
- Be enrolled in an undergraduate, graduate, or postgraduate program, or have graduated within the past two years
- Be at least 20 years old at the time of application
- Be proficient in at least one of UNAIDS’ working languages (English, French, or Spanish)
- Have strong academic performance and a keen interest in global health and human rights
