Key Responsibilities

Consultants at AfDB are recruited for both short-term and long-term assignments across various departments. Depending on the project, responsibilities may include:

Who Can Apply?

AfDB consultant roles are open to professionals from all member countries, including both African and non-African states. Candidates typically require:

  • A minimum of a Master’s degree in a relevant field (Economics, Engineering, Finance, Development Studies, etc.)
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience
  • Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills
  • Fluency in English or French (bilingual candidates are highly preferred)
  • Prior experience with international organizations is an added advantage
