Key Responsibilities
As the Peer-to-Peer Education Consultant, you will:
- Identify the knowledge, skills, and resources needed by refugee peer advisors to effectively guide others.
- Develop a comprehensive toolkit and training modules covering topics such as university readiness, digital literacy, career guidance, and vocational training.
- Pilot the toolkit across various countries and gather feedback to refine the content for diverse cultural and educational contexts.
- Facilitate both virtual and in-person training sessions to ensure peer educators are well-equipped to assist others.
- Support the evaluation of the toolkit’s effectiveness and recommend improvements for broader implementation.
Ideal Candidate Profile
To excel in this consultancy, you should possess:
- A university degree in education, social sciences, international development, or a related field.
- At least six years of experience in refugee education, youth programming, or curriculum development.
- Demonstrated ability to design educational materials and deliver training related to higher education access, employability, or digital learning.
- Strong communication skills in English, with French considered an asset.
- Experience working in low- and middle-income country contexts, particularly with refugee or marginalized youth communities.
Role Details
This is a home-based consultancy, providing flexibility and the opportunity to work remotely while collaborating with international teams. The contract is full-time for six months, during which you will design, test, and finalize the peer-to-peer education toolkit.
