About the Role

Key Responsibilities

The Deputy Director will:

Lead the design and execution of the Foundation’s contraceptive research and development strategy.
Manage a complex portfolio of investments that includes pre-clinical and clinical development of contraceptive technologies.
Oversee a team of professionals and ensure effective coordination with internal and external partners.
Evaluate and recommend new grant proposals and concept notes for funding.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The successful applicant will bring:

An advanced degree (PhD and/or MD) in a relevant life science, women’s health, or biomedical discipline.
At least ten years of leadership experience in pharmaceutical, medical device, or biotechnology product development, ideally in reproductive health or contraception.
Strong understanding of research, clinical development, regulatory processes, and global product launch pathways.
Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage complex projects, and navigate multi-stakeholder environments.
Excellent analytical, strategic, and communication skills with a passion for improving women’s health outcomes.
A willingness to travel internationally, as the role involves collaboration with global partners and field projects.
