About the Internship

The AMI team supports UNICEF’s private fundraising and partnership strategies by providing data-driven insights on audience behaviour, market trends, and media engagement. As an intern, you will collaborate with a diverse, international team to research, analyze, and interpret data that helps shape global fundraising and communication campaigns.

During the six-month internship, your responsibilities will include:

  • Mapping and analyzing media trends across global markets.
  • Reviewing existing research to identify information gaps and emerging opportunities.
  • Conducting analysis of online conversations to understand how UNICEF and related organizations are perceived worldwide.
  • Creating insights summaries, data visualizations, and presentations for internal decision-making.
  • Maintaining data repositories and ensuring consistency of research frameworks.

Who Can Apply

The internship is open to candidates currently enrolled in or recently graduated (within the last two years) from an undergraduate, graduate, or PhD program in Communications, Marketing, Data Science, Social Sciences, or any related field. Applicants must have:

  • Strong command of English; additional languages are an asset.
  • Excellent academic performance and analytical thinking skills.
  • Ability to write concise summaries, memos, and professional presentations.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to synthesize complex information.
  • Reliable internet connection and capacity to work effectively in a remote environment.

Applicants should not have immediate family members employed by UNICEF in a reporting relationship to ensure objectivity. Knowledge of media analysis tools and prior research experience will be considered an advantage.
