Application Process

The YPP selection process is rigorous and includes multiple stages to identify highly qualified candidates:

  1. Written Examination – Candidates sit for an online exam, which includes a General Paper and a Specialized Paper based on their field of expertise.
  2. Oral Examination – Successful candidates from the written exam are invited to a competency-based interview to assess skills such as problem-solving, communication, and alignment with UN values.
  3. Roster Placement – Candidates who pass both exams are placed on a three-year roster. Placement on the roster does not guarantee a job but provides priority access to P-1 and P-2 level roles in the UN Secretariat.
