The internship lasts between two to six months, depending on the hosting division. It may be conducted on-site or remotely, offering applicants greater flexibility and accessibility.
Duty stations vary across global UNAIDS offices, and some positions may allow interns to work from their home country. Candidates must have a working oral and written command of at least one official UNAIDS language: Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian or Spanish. UNAIDS strongly encourages applications from women, individuals from non- and under-represented member states, and persons living with HIV. This emphasis reflects the organization’s commitment to representation, equality and lived-experience leadership.
