About VisionFund and the Role

This internship is offered by VisionFund, the microfinance branch of World Vision International. The Marketing Communications & Impact Intern will join VisionFund’s Strategy Team, working closely with the Marketing & Communications (M&C) sub-team while collaborating with the Impact-Data sub-team. This role provides a rare opportunity to contribute to both the strategic communication and data-driven storytelling efforts that highlight the organization’s global impact.

Key Responsibilities

The internship is designed to give students or recent graduates hands-on experience in communication and development impact. Responsibilities include:

  • Storytelling & Content Creation: Develop compelling narratives that illustrate the real-life impact of VisionFund’s work. You will feature stories of individuals and communities whose lives have been transformed through microfinance.
  • Digital Content Development: Create engaging content for websites, newsletters, blogs, and social media channels, building awareness of VisionFund’s initiatives and encouraging audience engagement.
  • Data Visualization & Impact Communication: Collaborate with the Impact-Data team to turn quantitative data into compelling visual stories. This can include infographics, charts, and narrative summaries that demonstrate the measurable outcomes of VisionFund’s programs.
  • Research and Analysis: Conduct research on microfinance trends, global development, and donor engagement strategies to inform communication campaigns.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Work with multiple departments, contributing ideas that enhance mission-driven campaigns and ensuring a cohesive voice across communication platforms.
  • Professional Development: Participate in weekly professional development sessions, which may include leadership training, skill-building workshops, and reflective sessions aligned with World Vision’s faith-based principles.

Internship Details

  • Duration: Approximately 3 months, typically from late January to late April 2026.
  • Hours: Full-time, approximately 30–40 hours per week.
  • Stipend: Interns receive a monthly stipend to support living costs.
  • Location: Fully remote, limited to U.S.-based candidates in specific states.
  • Eligibility: Applicants must be at least 18 years old, legally authorized to work in the U.S., and preferably current students or recent graduates in communications, marketing, international development, data analytics, or related fields.
