Key Responsibilities
The Multimedia Intern will support the Multimedia Division in producing content for HRW’s Development and Program Departments. Responsibilities include assisting in all aspects of video production, participating in team meetings, contributing to social media strategy, and helping track HRW’s media coverage. Interns will also support on-location and studio video shoots, assist in sourcing third-party footage and music, draft scripts, and participate in video and photo editing processes. The role emphasizes learning and professional growth, allowing interns to tailor their experience to their skills and interests.
Who Can Apply
Applicants must be enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate program for the duration of the internship. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with a keen interest in video creation, social media distribution, and multimedia analysis. Experience with video/photo editing tools, such as Adobe Premiere, and familiarity with social media strategy are highly valued. Compensation and Duration
The internship is full-time, ideally 35 hours per week, for a three-month period starting mid-to-late January 2026, with some flexibility on start dates. Interns in the U.S. are paid $17 per hour and receive prorated vacation days. Academic credit may be arranged in consultation with the student’s institution, making this a valuable blend of professional and educational experience.
