Why This Internship Matters

World Vision International is a globally recognized humanitarian organisation dedicated to supporting vulnerable children and families affected by poverty, disasters, and inequality. Through VisionFund International, the organisation extends financial services such as microcredit, savings, and insurance to underserved communities. These services help families build stable livelihoods, start small businesses, and create long-term economic resilience.

But behind every loan, every small business, and every community transformation lies a story. Numbers alone do not capture the emotional depth of real change — which is where this internship becomes essential. As a Marketing Communications & Impact Intern, your role is to transform data, field insights, and project outcomes into compelling narratives that highlight how VisionFund is improving lives across the world.

Key Responsibilities

• Creating Human-Centered Impact Stories

Interns identify and craft powerful stories that showcase the real impact of VisionFund’s work. These may be used across blogs, web pages, newsletters, reports, and social media channels. You will learn to highlight both the human experience and the measurable outcomes behind community transformation.

• Turning Data into Engaging Narratives

The internship allows you to collaborate with the Impact-Data team to interpret statistics and translate them into accessible, meaningful content. This may include drafting short stories, developing infographics, or preparing summaries that explain the real-life implications of numbers.

• Researching and Supporting Strategic Communications

Interns explore topics related to microfinance, financial inclusion, and global economic empowerment. You may support written reports, communication strategies, and donor-focused materials that strengthen VisionFund’s engagement efforts.

• Working With a Global Team

As part of the Strategy, Marketing & Communications, and Impact teams, interns engage in meetings, creative discussions, and cross-departmental collaboration. This provides a valuable introduction to working in a global nonprofit environment.
