Position Overview

The Partnerships Consultant role is home-based, with New York Headquarters as the reference duty station. The consultancy is expected to run from January to December 2026.

This position sits within UNICEF’s Migration and Displacement Hub and supports large-scale partnership initiatives that address the needs of children affected by migration, displacement, and forced movement.

Key Responsibilities

The consultant will support strategic partnerships and programme coordination related to child protection and migration. Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating activities between headquarters, regional offices, and country offices
  • Supporting partnership initiatives focused on migration and displacement
  • Drafting analytical reports, briefs, presentations, and strategic documents
  • Assisting with planning and facilitation of coordination meetings
  • Supporting engagement in global migration and refugee policy processes
  • Developing internal tools and resources to strengthen collaboration and knowledge sharing

This role combines research, coordination, and policy engagement at a global level.

Required Qualifications

Applicants are expected to have:

  • An advanced university degree in migration studies, development studies, political science, economics, or a related field
  • At least five years of relevant professional experience in migration, displacement, or international development
  • Experience working in multi-partner or international environments, preferably within the UN system
  • Strong research, analytical, and writing skills
  • Familiarity with global migration and refugee policy frameworks
