Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the OECD Internship Programme, applicants must be enrolled full-time in a recognized degree programme at the bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral level for the entire duration of the internship. Candidates must demonstrate strong analytical, research, communication, or technical skills relevant to their chosen field.
Applicants should be proficient in at least one of the OECD’s official languages, English or French, and show willingness to improve knowledge of the other. The ability to work effectively in an international and multicultural team is essential. While preference is often given to nationals of OECD member countries, applications from non-member countries are also considered for certain roles.
Duration and Working Conditions
Internships at the OECD are offered on a full-time basis, typically lasting between one and six months. Extensions are possible, with a maximum total internship duration of up to twelve months. Interns usually work 40 hours per week and are entitled to paid leave calculated on a monthly basis, in addition to recognized public holidays.
To help cover living expenses, interns receive a monthly stipend of approximately €1,000. This financial support helps make the programme more accessible, particularly for students living in Paris during their placement.
