Program Overview

Futureplusplus is looking for a highly skilled and experienced English Reading and Writing Tutor to join our team in Canada. As a One-to-One Online Tutor, you will work closely with students in Grades 7-12 to help them improve their English reading and writing skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality, personalized instruction to each student and ensuring that they reach their academic goals.

Responsibilities:

• Provide one-to-one online tutoring sessions to students in Grades 7-12
• Develop customized lesson plans based on the individual needs of each student
• Assess student progress and adjust lesson plans as needed
• Help students improve their reading comprehension, critical thinking, and writing skills
• Provide constructive feedback to students on their writing assignments
• Encourage students to develop a love for reading and writing
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to update them on their child’s progress
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching English reading and writing to students in Grades 7-12
• Strong knowledge of English grammar and composition
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to develop and deliver engaging, personalized lessons to students
• Experience working with students with diverse learning needs
• Familiarity with online tutoring platforms and tools
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check
