The University of Liverpool contributes to student financial relief by making scholarship opportunities available to international students. The scholarships include, but are not limited to, the following programs:
1#: University of Liverpool Humanitarian Scholarship
This award is available to those who have been recognized as refugees or are receiving humanitarian assistance under the 1951 Refugee Convention. This status must be held outside of the United Kingdom. The prizes cover full school fees, visas, and assistance with housing and living expenses.
2#: Vice-Chancellor’s International Attainment Scholarship
The Vice-Chancellor’s foreign Attainment Scholarship (PGT) recognizes outstanding foreign students (including EU students) beginning a postgraduate taught master’s program in 2024. Beneficiaries of the award will receive a £2,500 tuition fee reduction.
3#: Postgraduate Progression Award (International)
This scholarship is available to current international University of Liverpool undergraduate or alumni, including Study Abroad and Exchange students, as well as students from Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University, who are progressing to either a full or part-time new postgraduate taught programme. You are eligible to receive our Postgraduate Progression Award: a £2,500 tuition fee reduction if you have a first class undergraduate degree, or a 10% fee reduction if you have a 2:1 or 2.
4#: Sport Liverpool Scholarships
The University offers scholarships worth up to £2,000 to talented athletes competing at national and regional levels. The scholarship is open to Home, EU and international students.
5#: Chevening Scholarships
The University, in collaboration with Chevening, is thrilled to offer this significant award to master’s students with future leadership potential. The grant covers tuition fees as well as a stipend for living expenses for students pursuing a master’s degree.
6#: University of Liverpool Commonwealth Postgraduate Bursary
The fee discount provided by the University of Liverpool Commonwealth Postgraduate Bursary for students from Commonwealth nations who are new to studying at the University of Liverpool on master’s programmes is up to £2,000 for Commonwealth students studying all topics.
7#: Marshall Scholarships
One scholarship is available for a master’s student from the US to cover the cost of tuition fees. Another, to the value of £20,000, is available for Doctoral study.
8#: Fulbright Scholarships
One scholarship is available for a master’s student from the United States, and another is available for a postgraduate research student from the United States to conduct research for three to six months. A master’s student pays £20,000 in tuition, plus a £2,500 monthly living allowance for a postgraduate research student.
9#: FIDERH Award
Postgraduate students studying a master’s programme or PhD can apply for this graduate loan providing up to 20% reduction in tuition fees for postgraduate taught and research programmes.
10#: Management School MBA Scholarships and Study Awards
There are numerous scholarships and study prizes available to assist with the expense of MBA tuition. These scholarships are awarded at the University of Liverpool’s discretion, and the decision is final. Please keep in mind that additional money is available from the University and may be combined with Management School scholarships and study prizes.
