About this position

The IDB Representation in Brasília is looking for a University Student for an internship in 2025 under the Consulting modality.

The Internship Program is a competitive, paid opportunity for university students from IDB member countries to learn about the Bank’s corporate development and management work and gain professional-level work experience through on-the-job learning.

What you will do:

  • You will use your excellent organizational and management skills to optimally control the flow of communication demands.
  • You will apply your creativity to find agile and appropriate solutions to the IDB’s communication challenges, with an internal and external focus
  • Will support the daily selection of news involving the IDB
  • Will support Internal Communication
  • Will operationalize posts from institutional profiles on social networks
  • Will operate institutional newsletters and blog posts
  • Will organize visual pieces and photographs
  • Will prepare supporting documents

What you will need

  • Education: Must be a current undergraduate student in Social Communications at an accredited university. Graduation date cannot be earlier than the last day of the Internship.
  • Languages : Be fluent in Portuguese and have a working knowledge of one of the Bank’s official languages: English or Spanish.
  • Soft Skills : Results-oriented, collaborative, innovative, customer-oriented, communicative, self-motivated, available to learn and excellent at time management.
  • Technical skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite .

Requirements

  • Citizenship : You are a citizen  with residency to work there.
  • Age : Be between 21 and 27 years of age for undergraduates, or up to 33 years of age for graduates as of the internship start date.
  • Consanguinity : Not having family members (up to the fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB, IDB Invest or IDB Lab.

First employment with the IDB Group : Be a first-time participant in an Internship Program conducted by the Bank or the Inter-American Investment Corporation (“Corporation,” also known as “IDB Invest”). In addition, you have not been a former staff member, Supplemental Workforce (“CW”), or contractor of the Bank or the Corporation, or have previously provided services to the Bank or the Corporation through a contractor or under any other contractual arrangement.
