Indian Food Empire is looking for an experienced and qualified Head Chef to organize the kitchen’s activities. You will be the first in command in the facilities and will create and inspect dishes before they arrive at the customers ensuring high quality and contentment.

Responsibilities

  • Control and direct the food preparation process and any other relative activities
  • Construct menus with new or existing culinary creations ensuring the variety and quality of the servings
  • Approve and “polish” dishes before they reach the customer
  • Plan orders of equipment or ingredients according to identified shortages
  • Arrange for repairs when necessary
  • Remedy any problems or defects
  • Be fully in charge of hiring, managing and training kitchen staff
  • Oversee the work of subordinates
  • Estimate staff’s workload and compensations
  • Maintain records of payroll and attendance
  • Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
  • Foster a climate of cooperation and respect between co-oworkers

Requirements and skills

  • Proven experience as Head Chef
  • Exceptional proven ability of kitchen management
  • Ability in dividing responsibilities and monitoring progress
  • Outstanding communication and leadership skills
  • Up-to-date with culinary trends and optimized kitchen processes
  • Good understanding of useful computer programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS)
  • Credentials in health and safety training
  • Degree in Culinary science or related certificate

We are looking for a Head Chef for South Indian Restaurant. LMIA available.

Head Chef responsibilities include contributing to and supervising daily food prep and cooking, maintaining a Fully stocked kitchen inventory and complying with safety and cleanliness standards. To be Successful in this role, You must be able to manage your Team and guide them to deliver an exceptional Quality of food. Ultimately, you will ensure all plates are properly cooked and served and that all your customers have a unique and unprecented dining experience.

Job Description:

  • Supervise cooking, as well as other kitchen section heads, coordinate their assignments to make sure quality & timely food production in respective departments of the kitchen, viz., Line/Tandoor/South-Indian/Biryani
  • Observe methods of food preparation cooking, sizes of portions, and garnishing of foods to make sure food is prepared in the prescribed manner.
  • Be fully in charge of hiring, managing, and training kitchen staff
  • Supervise or cooperate with other departments like Front of the house, KOT {food runner] and dishwashing to ensure smooth operations.
  • Ensure the best in customer service is being provided to all customers.
  • Adhere to standard recipes as per the standard recipes.
  • Control and direct the food preparation process and any other relative activities
  • Manage staff working schedules, maintain records of payroll and attendance
  • Monitor and control food wastage.
  • Manage store inventory and assist in ordering and receiving stock.
  • Arrange for repairs when necessary
  • Remedy any problems or defects
  • Ensure high sanitation, cleanliness, and safety standards are consistently maintained throughout all kitchen areas and that all health and safety certification requirements are up to date.
  • Foster a climate of cooperation and respect between co-workers

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $60,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
