We’re seeking a passionate and experienced Indigenous Health and Wellbeing Practitioner to join our team. Do you see yourself excited to contribute to…
- Working with a wide range of clients, including First Nations, local governments, community-serving organizations, and provincial and federal governments.
- Working in Systems Change, De-Colonization practices and upstream/prevention initiatives.
- Conducting research, including the collection and analysis of qualitative and quantitative data.
- Supporting engagement and facilitation with education related to skill development for people with lived and living experience.
- Supporting projects focused on Indigenous well-being.
- Supporting project coordination of a substance use day program and coordination of an Indigenous Peer Navigator Capacity Building program.

We will consider various backgrounds, including Indigenous Relations, Indigenous Studies, Social Work, Community Development, and Public Health programs. Preference will be given to new grads with up to 3 years of professional or lived experience. The following attributes, skills and experience would be considered beneficial:

- A passion for working with people with lived and/or living experiences of homelessness and/or substance use.
- Knowledge of Indigenous communities and language(s).
- Awareness of Truth and Reconciliation Calls to Action.
- Ability to contribute to the creation of reconciliation principles for organizations.
- Experience with and knowledge of social serving systems and a deep desire to shift the status quo to better serve those in vulnerable circumstances.
- Knowledge and understanding of the local Indigenous context.
- Experience with a deep familiarity and connection to systems work focused on diversity and equity, addictions and mental health, and economic barriers to inclusion.
- Drive to work towards developing and restoring equality and social justice for those traditionally disenfranchised due to systemic barriers.
- Develop relationships and partnerships easily, have an entrepreneurial drive to secure new clients and further develop your practice with existing partners.
- Openness to working on projects throughout Western Canada with communities of all sizes.
- Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced environment with a team of professionals who are deeply committed to exceeding client expectations.
