Types of Entry-Level Positions
- Junior Professional Officer (Industrial Development): Assist in the implementation of industrial development projects and programs, with a focus on sustainable manufacturing, trade, and entrepreneurship development.
- Intern – Industrial Policy and Strategy: Support the development of industrial policies and strategies, with a focus on promoting sustainable industrial development and job creation.
- Data Analyst – Statistics and Monitoring: Assist in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to track progress towards achieving UNIDO’s goals and targets.
Types of Mid-Level Positions
- Senior Industrial Development Officer: Lead the implementation of industrial development projects and programs, with a focus on sustainable manufacturing, trade, and entrepreneurship development.
- Programme Coordinator – Trade and Investment: Coordinate the implementation of trade and investment programs, with a focus on promoting international trade and investment for sustainable development.
- Environmental Specialist – Industry: Support the development of environmentally sustainable industrial practices and policies, with a focus on reducing environmental impact.

Types of Senior-Level Positions
- Senior Industrial Development Adviser: Provide strategic guidance and technical assistance to governments, businesses, and other stakeholders to promote sustainable industrial development.
- Deputy Director – Programme Management: Oversee the management of UNIDO’s programmatic activities, including budgeting, reporting, and monitoring and evaluation.
- Director – Economic Analysis and Policy Development: Lead the development of economic analysis and policy research to inform UNIDO’s work on industrial development.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field such as business administration, engineering, economics, international relations, or environmental studies
- Minimum 1-5 years of relevant work experience in international development, industry, or government
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Fluency in one or more UN languages (English, French, Spanish)
- Ability to work in a multicultural environment
