A Vehicle Detailer is a professional who provides automotive interior and exterior cleaning services that meet customer specifications.
Metro Ford Sales Ltd is looking for a Car Detailer to join our team and provide excellent customer service while performing exceptional car cleaning services for our customers.
Vehicle Detailer responsibilities include cleaning vehicles according to the needs of our customers by performing detailed inspections, washing, and buffing to restore the appearance of the vehicle to company standards.
Ultimately, you will work with a small team of Vehicle Detailers to ensure each vehicle is cleaned according to our organization’s quality standards and the request of our customers.

Vehicle Detailer Responsibilities
- Perform inspections and keep complete, accurate records of the vehicle’s condition
- Move and park vehicles, deliver vehicles to correct locations, and pick owners up if needed
- Manage inventory and reorder supplies
- Respond to client inquiries and fulfill their requests
- Clean the interior and exterior of vehicles using a variety of products and methods
- Apply protective finishes to the exteriors of our customers’ cars
- Perform inspections to ensure that each step of the cleaning process has been completed
- Answer any questions that customers have about their car detailing
Vehicle Detailer Requirements and skills
- Proven work experience as a Car Detailer or similar role
- Attention to detail with excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including walking, crouching, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Willingness to comply with all company policies and uphold standards for service quality
- Availability to work weekends and holidays
- Relevant training and/or certifications as a Car Detailer

The Automotive Detailer provides automotive detailing services by performing detailing on new, used and customer vehicles, safely and according to quality and time standards. Complies with dealership’s safety and environmental programs and practices.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Automotive detailing services may include, but are not limited to clean for delivery, protection packages, fill with gas, wash and vacuum, shampoo, polishing.
- Promotes dealership by presenting professional image, positive attitude, and clean work area.
- Arrive on time daily and ready to work when scheduled
- Completes detail services assignments correctly, to pass quality inspections.
- Able to maintain a high quality of work in a timely manner

Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
- Notifies Recon management if delays are expected, any damages to vehicle
- Fills out inspection sheet for new vehicle delivery
- drives vehicle in and out of wash bay, detailing bay and put in designated area for delivery and able to use a high pressure washer, wet/dry vacuum, power polisher, undercoat gun and other equipment required
- Promotes a productive working relationship with others.
- Provides clear and legible record of service completed for both customer and dealership use.
- Assists Recon Management when necessary
- Assists other detailing technicians when needed.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of 1 year of experience required.
- High School degree or equivalent preferred
- Other certifications or licenses as required by provincial law
- Driver’s license (Class 5)
- Fluent English required
- Position requires walking distances, bending, getting in and out of vehicles frequently
- Safety shoes
