Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support the coordination of Knowledge Management and Research initiatives:
- Organize and facilitate meetings for gender profile focal points.
- Create virtual content for the Africa website.
- Promote knowledge sharing within ESARO through networks and communities of practice.
- Conduct a study on the status of gender equality in universities in East and Southern Africa.
- Coordinate the launch of the regional gender profile, including participant coordination and preparation of presentations.
- Develop key messages for infographics and collaborate with the communications team for social media engagement.
- Compile quarterly data and statistics on thematic issues for knowledge series.
- Contribute to the development of new knowledge sharing mechanisms.
- Utilize multimedia technology for knowledge sharing and engagement.
- Dissemination of Knowledge products:
- Develop strategies for the dissemination of the regional gender profile and universities’ gender equality report.
- Coordinate knowledge dissemination events.
- Advise on dissemination formats to enhance the use and adoption of knowledge products.

Required Skills and Experience:
Education and Certification:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in economics, gender, development studies, social sciences, or a relevant field.
Experience:
- One year of relevant experience in development work, administrative or program management/support.
- Experience in gender equality work at national, regional, and international levels is an asset.
- Experience in a multicultural environment.
- Proficiency in using multiple office software packages.
- Experience with ERP systems, preferably Oracle Cloud, is desirable.
- Experience in supporting a team is desirable.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work independently to achieve results.
