UNICEF is hiring for the following positions:
Operations Assistant (Administrative Assistant) ,G5,Kigali, Rwanda #124690 – Temporary Appointment ( 364 days) – For Rwandan Nationals Only
The Administrative Assistant supports the Deputy Representative (Operations) by providing a variety of standardized tasks in support of the Operations units. These tasks require thorough knowledge of UNICEF’s administrative and financial procedures, processes, and policies. The Administrative Assistant will be expected to project the image of a credible and reliable service provider which is imperative to the quality of process delivery, and the impact of work directly reflects on the overall reputation of the team in terms of responsiveness to client needs and quality of process execution. The Administrative Assistant works in close collaboration with a range of staff in the UNICEF Rwanda Country Office, external partners, and counterparts in supporting the programme to deliver.

Senior National Consultant for Vaccine management and Polio SIAs implementation in the Western Province , Rwanda , 6 months ( Rwandan Nationals Only)
UNICEF RCO is mandated to support Polio outbreak preparedness and response through coordination, vaccine , logistic and SBC.
The four Vaccine Management and logistics consults will be responsible for assisting country programmes in proper planning, utilization, stock management, disposal (if necessary) and reporting of all vaccines used in polio outbreak response campaigns as per WHO-UNICEF global guidance.
This activity will be conducted national wide, almost 3millions children between 0-7years are targeted and will receive 2 rounds of Polio doses. UNICEF will manage through the 4 consultants all activities related to vaccines procurement, SOPs, Guidelines, trainings, supportive supervision, fields monitoring and reporting on vaccines and it logistics during and after the campaign.

National Consultancy to support harmonization of minimum national pre-primary education standards and ECD minimum standards, Kigali Rwanda, 6months ( Work from home) – Rwandan Nationals Only
The purpose of the assignment is to support development of harmonized minimum standards and guidelines for early childhood development (ECD) and learning to replace existing minimum standards for preprimary education under the Ministry of Education (MINEDUC) and ECD under the National Child Development Agency (NCDA).
The harmonized minimum standards will support both MINEDUC and NCDA to monitor the quality of ECD and early childhood education (ECE)/pre-primary education services, quality assure and plan scale-up of quality ECE and ECD services. Specifically, the consultant will:
1. Conduct desk review to analyze similarities, differences, and gaps in the existing pre-primary/ECE and ECD standards.
2. Produce a report with recommendations (scope and connect outline) to inform development of a harmonized standards for both pre-primary and ECD.
3. Support consultation with MINEDUC, NCDA, relevant agencies and partners involved in ECE/pre-primary education and ECD to review the recommendations and develop the harmonized minimum standards documents.
4. Review and align existing ECE and ECD inspection and monitoring tools with the harmonized standards and guidelines.
