Responsibilities
Under the direct supervision of the Administration and General Services Officer (NOC), the post holder is responsible for the following tasks:
- Receipt and control of deliveries
- Maintaining warehouse cleanliness
- General Support
Receipt and control of deliveries
- Ensure receipt of deliveries, by accurately verifying the quantities and types of materials and goods received.
- Sign delivery notes upon receipt, following established procedures.
- Handle fragile items with care following appropriate protocols for their management and storage.
- Unpack received items and store them on designated shelves or storage areas as needed.
- Quickly report any damage or damage upon receipt of the equipment and/or merchandise
Maintaining warehouse cleanliness
- Ensure that UN House warehouses and storage/storage areas are clean, hygienic and well organized at all times.
- Carry out continuous storage of warehouse spaces using the 5S method.
General Support
- Provide general support to the Administrative Officer (NOB) as needed, including assisting with office tasks and projects.
- Carry out any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor in support of the overall objectives of the United Nations House.
The main results impact the overall effectiveness of service delivery in the Diamniadio United Nations House, including improved customer services.

Qualification :
- A high school diploma is required, preferably supplemented by additional certification, technical or academic courses related to the field of work such as logistics, etc. is desirable.
Experience :
- At least five years of relevant professional experience in the field of logistics are required.
- Previous experience as a Logistics Assistant or similar role within the United Nations System or in a large warehouse or shipping center is preferred.
- Good understanding of shipping processes, including receiving, warehousing and shipping goods.
- Ability to handle and maneuver fragile inventory with care and precision.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with colleagues and external stakeholders.
LANGUAGES :
- Fluency in French is required. Knowledge of English and a local language is an asset.
