Key Responsibilities
UNICEF research roles vary across thematic areas, but generally include:
- Designing and conducting qualitative and quantitative research on child-related issues

Who Can Apply?
UNICEF encourages applications from a diverse pool of candidates, especially those committed to advancing children’s rights. Ideal candidates typically have:
- An advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in social sciences, international development, public health, economics, or related fields
- At least 3–5 years of research experience (more for senior roles)
- Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills
- Experience working with international organizations or in low- and middle-income countries is a plus
- Fluency in English is required; knowledge of additional UN languages is an advantage
