Key Responsibilities
WFP Consultants contribute to a wide range of technical and operational areas. Depending on the assignment, responsibilities may include:
- Designing and managing food security and nutrition programs
- Conducting field assessments and data analysis
- Developing policies, strategies, and operational frameworks
- Supporting logistics, supply chain, and emergency response planning
- Coordinating with governments, NGOs, and other UN agencies
- Providing technical training and capacity building
Assignments may be short-term or long-term, depending on project needs.
Who Can Apply?
WFP welcomes applications from experienced professionals with diverse backgrounds. The ideal candidate typically has:
- An advanced university degree in a relevant field (e.g., international development, public health, logistics, agriculture)
- At least 5 years of relevant work experience
- Proven analytical, project management, and communication skills
- Fluency in English (other UN languages like French, Spanish, or Arabic are an asset)
- Experience in humanitarian or development settings is highly desirable
