Program Overview

Offshore Coordinator you’ll focus on vessel and people tracking and cover Operational Control under a safe system of work. Experienced Marine Coordinator required for UK West Offshore Coordination Department, where you, together with your colleagues within a regional team, will be coordinating traffic control.

Role Responsibilities

  • Coordinating emergency response and responding to radio communications and incident escalation, as per response plans
  • Being responsible for vessel traffic control, as per agreed coordination protocols (Hold a valid VHF License)
  • Ensuring the efficient and safe execution of working schedules through accurate people, vessel, and weather monitoring, utilising the offshore management system
  • Acting as Operational Controller under the safe-system-of-work
  • Monitoring of weather forecasts and offshore conditions providing advice and recommendations to stakeholders
  • Verifying all offshore personnel hold the correct certification, as per procedures, and the creation of passenger lists, as required by site and regional management

  • Knowledge of Operations and Maintenance activities
  • Radio operation experience (VHF License)
  • Acted as Operational Controller under the WTSR
  • Knowledge of emergency response control

Title: Offshore Coordinator – Bilingual English/Spanish

Reports to: Offshore Supervisor, Human Resource Manager

Based at: Mucci Pac Ltd., Kingsville, ON

Type of Employment: Full-Time, permanent, hourly, 5-days a week; and some additional hours depending on workload and priorities.

Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Assist with the Temporary Foreign Worker Program, recruitment, arrival, onboarding, and departures.
  • Liaison and maintain relationships with TFW consulates, local, Provincial and Federal regulatory agencies.
  • Assist with LMIA applications.
  • Aid Coordination of travel arrangements for arrivals and departures.
  • Document management; paper, and digital formats.
  • Assist in creating department metrics intended to keep stakeholders informed.
  • Administrative duties such as data entry, creation of forms, organize, sort, and distribute packages and incoming mail.
  • Coordinate and deliver orientation for newly arrived TFW’s.
  • Assist with programs that ensure legislative compliance.
  • Schedule appointments with; Service Canada (SIN), Service Ontario (Health Cards), TFW medical appointments.
  • Offer Spanish Translation, both verbal and written.
  • Duties as otherwise assigned to support the Offshore Team and the Human Resources Department.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • College diploma in Administration, Human Resources or similar, required.
  • 1-2 years of administrative experience, required.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish required.
  • Demonstrated communication skills, oral and written.
  • Proven high level of expertise with computer applications; Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint, Adobe PDF, ADP-WorkforceNow.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize while remaining flexible in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Abilities:

  • Must be able to sit, stand, and/or walk for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with body, arms, and/or legs.
  • Must be able to lift material regularly up to 14kg / 30 lbs; and occasionally up to 23 kg / 50lbs.
  • Must be able to climb stairs and stand on feet for an extended period of time.
  • Must be able to work in a temperature-controlled environment of approximately 13 ˚C / 55 ˚F.
