Program Overview

Anavada Group housekeeping room attendants provide for the comfort of guests in hotels, motels, resorts, lodges and inns by ensuring that guest rooms and public areas are clean and properly presented. A housekeeping room attendant promotes a positive image of the property to guests, and must be pleasant, friendly and able to address problems or special requests.

Responsibilities

• Stock and sort supplies
• Vacuum, clean, dust and polish guest rooms
• Make beds, change sheets, remove and replace used towels and toiletries
• Deliver and retrieve items on loan to guests e.g. iron and ironing boards
• Ensure security of guest rooms and privacy of guests
• Perform rotation cleaning duties (e.g. steam clean carpets) as required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• A secondary school diploma is preferred
• Physical mobility and stamina required
• Ability to follow instruction
• Detail-oriented
• Professional attitude is required
• Ability to work independently
• Excellent time management skills
• Bondable is generally required
• Previous customer service experience may be required
• Good communication skills are an asset
• Good organizational skills
• Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) is an asset

We are seeking a hardworking and friendly individual to join our team. The ideal candidate has prior hotel housekeeping experience and is committed to providing high-quality cleaning services in a timely manner.

Must have open availability (this position will include weekends)

Responsibilities:

• Clean and sanitize guest rooms
• Vacuum, sweep and mop floors
• Makes beds and changes linens
• Wash, dry and fold laundry
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms, showers, toilets, sinks, and countertops.
• Replenishes toiletries and towels
• Empties trash bins
• Clean and sanitize all common areas of hotel

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent, Casual
Part-time hours: 20-40 per week

Salary: $16.75 per hour

Schedule:

• Day shift
• Morning shift
• Weekends as needed
