REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

The selection of National Consultant will be aimed at maximizing the overall “team” qualities in the following areas and will be assessed in the technical evaluation process using the below maximum number of points in brackets for each criterion.

Experience

  • More than 2 years of professional experience in Renewable energy Systems, Energy Efficiency Applications, or Grid Stability Management, with substantive work undertaken in the electricity and energy sector, as well as a good understanding of mainstreaming gender and other cross-cutting priorities such as climate change. (15 points)

Duties and Responsibilities

The Programme Analyst will be based at the Ministry of Gender, Family and Social Services and will be accountable to the UNDP Programme Manager. Quarterly meetings will be held with Programme Manager of UNDP Maldives and the Head of Gender Development and Empowerment Department at the Ministry.

Experience:

  • For candidates with a bachelor’s degree, a minimum of 2 (two) years of experience working in a similar field.
  • Demonstrated ability of timely completion of assignments.
  • Must possess excellent communication, management, and coordination skills.
  • Proven ability to produce work independently with limited supervision. 

#3- Project Analyst

Duties and Responsibilities

Under the direct supervision of the Project Manager, the Project Analyst is expected to provide overall programmatic and management support to project implementation, prepare annual and multi-year budgets, support M&E and provide technical support in the implementation of selected finance solutions. 

1.Provide Project Management Support 

  • Ensure that project is executed in a timely and appropriate manner.
  • Assist in project related activities, including planning for meetings, consultations with national and international partners, duty travel, and other project related activities.
  • Support with the Monitoring and Evaluation of the project at the national level, including workshop evaluations. 

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years (with Bachelor’s degree) of experience in implementing development projects.

Required Skills:

  • Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (Word, Excel etc.) is required;

Desired Skills:

  • Experience working with the government institutes related to border management and international affairs at the national and local levels;
  • Experience in implementation of projects related to border management, security, and or/cross-border cooperation inclusive of infrastructure components;
