Program Overview
An Estate landscaper/Groundskeeper, or Landscape Designer, is responsible for envisioning unique outdoor spaces and working with other landscape professionals to turn their visions into public parks and gardens for people to enjoy. Their duties include planting flowers and trees, trimming shrubbery and overseeing the installation of benches, fountains, fences and walking paths.

Landscaper Duties and Responsibilities
A Landscaper position is typically under the direction of Professional Grounds Managers and completes a variety of tasks to achieve a functional and pleasant outdoor area. They may also care for indoor gardens and plants in public and commercial facilities such as botanical gardens, malls and hotels.
A job description for a Landscaper may contain the following duties and responsibilities:
- Mowing, edging and fertilizing lawns
- Weeding and mulching landscape beds
- Trimming small trees, hedges and shrubs
- Removing unwanted, dead or damaged trees
- Planting shrubs, flowers and trees
- Watering gardens, lawns and landscapes
- Monitoring and maintaining plant health

We are looking for a Property groundskeeper to maintain and manage multi site forested and landscaped Estate grounds
3 years in any and/or all aspects of property maintenance and general handyman activities.
Valid Driver’s License and reliable vehicle required. Working in 3+ locations in the Greater Victoria area.
Must be physically fit and able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
Must be able to work independently
Yard maintenance, and landscaping skills a must as this constitutes a large part of the job

Salary: $26.00-$32.00 per hour
