Program Overview

Cocktail Bartender with excellent communication skills and a passion for customer service. We require this person to serve classical cocktails and exciting new beverages to our customers. The Bartender will greet customers, learn about their preferences, answer questions, recommend menu items, and prepare and serve beverages and food. You will also upsell items, create recipes, utilise proper equipment and ingredients, and handle basic cleaning duties.

To succeed you will be engaging and have friendly personality. We expect you to be efficient, observant, knowledgeable, and personable.

Cocktail Bartender Duties

Positive, engaging personality and professional appearance.
Availability to work nites, weekends, and holidays.
Basic maths and computer skills.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong task and time management abilities.
Understanding of drink mixing tools and techniques.

Cocktail Bartender Training

Possible training of a good Bartender candidate might include:

Hospitality Team Member Intermediate Apprenticeship
Level 1 Award in Professional Food and Beverage Service Skills
Level 1 Award in Introduction to Employment in the Hospitality Industry
Level 2 Certificate in Professional Food and Beverage Service

Lady Banks is Sydney’s largest rooftop bar, which is a multi-seasonal sanctuary inspired by its horizon. This chic relaxed and sophisticated bar is the perfect space whether it be for a social gathering, after work drinks or for a special event. Lady Banks is the perfect spot to enjoy drinks and some tapas, with 360-degree views of Sydney. Lady Banks is looking for an experienced Cocktail Bartender to join the team on a full-time basis. You must be able to create classic cocktails and interpret signature menu items which change seasonally. You will be a dynamic team player who can keep up with fast-paced environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Greeting all customers; projecting a positive, motivated and friendly image to guests and staff
Assisting with all customer enquiries, or requests regarding products and services at LadyBanks
Providing efficient and accurate service of food & beverage items to customers in bar areas and/or functions
Ability to serve alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages in a correct manner
Mix, shake and serve a range of premium beverage products
Cash handling duties e.g. accurate reconciliation of floats
Providing a hygienic environment by assisting in general cleaning duties to maintain an orderly and tidy venue
