Clark Freightways is searching for an experienced Commercial Transport Mechanic to join our team and take on the responsibilities of inspecting and maintaining the mechanical and electrical parts of our trailers. The responsibilities of the trailer mechanic include servicing and repairing trailer parts, compiling inspection reports, and ensuring that trailers are roadworthy.

To be successful as a tmechanic, you should demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills. The best mechanics possess expert knowledge of trailer vehicle parts and are able to easily apply this knowledge in their day-to-day tasks.

We are currently looking for Commercial Transport Mechanics. We pride ourselves on having clean and well maintained equipment.
Duties and Responsibilities: This position is responsible for all aspects of fleet repair and maintenance.
Requirements:
- Red Seal Commercial Transport Mechanic
- A solid understanding and working knowledge with major truck, trailer and material handling components is required
- Valid Class 5 Drivers license required, Class 3 with air break endorsement preferred
- Proven problem solving and decision making skills
- Critical thinking, job task planning and organization skills
- Ability to read technical diagrams and instructions
- High concern for safety and a responsible work attitude
- Ownership of basic tools and steel toed boots
- Good communication skills – fluent in English
- Responsive when given direct tasks but just as efficient when working alone
Compensation:
- Full-time, permanent position
- $36.00 – 45.00 per hour for qualified LMIA applicants
- $45.00 per hour for Red Seal Journeyman
- Group Health benefits including Life, AD&D, Extended Health, Dental, Short-term and Long-term Disability
- RRSP-based retirement plan (up to 3% of wages contributed by the Employer)
