Internships and Fellowships for Clean Energy Students in 2023. Opportunities have arisen for graduate students in the Clean Mobility and Green Energy sectors in 2023.
With climate change and global warming serious topical issues all over the world, students in the clean energy sector have a huge responsibility to bring about viable alternatives to carbon fuels and environmentally unfriendly fuels.

The following Internships and Fellowships are ongoing and help students in the relevant sectors find networking and training opportunities with Student Energy of Canada.

They work with a network of 50,000 young people from over 120 countries to build the knowledge, skills, and networks they need to take action on energy.

Student Energy collaborates with governments, companies, and organizations to facilitate meaningful youth engagement and mobilize resources to support youth-led energy solutions.
Here are the available opportunities for 2023.
1. Student Energy Career Training Program (SECT)
SECT is dedicated to providing students and young professionals their first opportunity to execute a real-world energy project and develop skills in energy policy and market analysis.

This four-month cohort-based intensive program aims to fill the emerging gap between a large contingent of youth seeking to perform innovative work and transform our energy system but lack access to the necessary baseline training and skills required for entry-level roles and internships.
The course has been collaboratively developed and run by knowledge partner Enel Foundation to offer students a comprehensive introduction to the current energy system, decarbonization pathways, energy economics, and policy.
Student Energy is opening applications for the third cohort of the program, which will start on the 13th of March and end on the 30th of June, 2023. (Dates are tentative)

Candidates accepted into the program will be committing to a maximum of 10 hours per week over the 16 weeks period of the program.

2. Student Energy Summit 2023
SES 2023 will be held in the Middle East for the very first time in November 2023, hosted by New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) under the theme Reimagining the Future.

The Summit will be a transformative space for intergenerational collaboration and will cultivate a space for young people from diverse homelands and unique educational and socio-economic backgrounds to network and present innovative solutions to our energy challenges. Register here.
3. Student Energy Fellowship 2023
The Student Energy Fellowship provides core energy systems education and builds project and leadership skills for young people to take action on the energy system, through a 8-month virtual program paired with mentorship and a project.
The Student Energy Fellowship Program is designed for young people interested in and passionate about the energy transition who can commit to developing a project idea with a team or individually over 8 months.
As a multidisciplinary program, the Fellowship aims to help participants find their unique path towards accelerating the energy transition through the many possible career paths available today. Register here.
4. Energy Career Training Programme 2023
This programme equips youth with the technical, dynamic and durable skills necessary for them to land an internship or entry-level role in the energy sector.
The program develops project management, data analytics, interdisciplinary teamwork and leadership through hands-on learning experiences. Register here.
