- Creating templates as per the project specifications, and using hand and power tools to cut and shape the metal components.
- Cleaning up after a job is completed and keeping the welding area neat and organized.
Qualifications and Skills:
- A trade certificate or diploma in welding, or related field is required.
- At least 2 years of work experience as a welder is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents such as blueprints, manuals, and schematics.
- Proficient in welding different metals such as steel, aluminum, and copper.
- Knowledge of welding equipment maintenance, troubleshooting and repair.
- Have excellent hand-eye coordination and the ability to work in awkward positions for long periods of time.
- A keen attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently without compromising on quality.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work in a team environment or independently.
- Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while performing duties.
