To apply for an internship, please create a UNOPS Jobs Account. This involves submitting details such as personal information, education, experience, languages, skills and other information.

Please note the profile doesn’t need to be completed in one go but can be saved and updated on an ongoing basis and all vacancies close at midnight CET time.

How to apply UNOPS Internships

UNOPS advertises job opportunities through an online recruitment system that helps ensure our recruitments are efficient and transparent. All applications must be submitted through this system.

Submitting an application

Once your profile is created, you can apply to specific vacancies or rosters. Please make sure that you only apply to positions for which you fulfill the requirements (education/experience/language). At this point, you may be asked to fill in further details or upload documents relevant to a particular application. Once you are done, click the ‘Submit application’ button.

Recruitment process

Once the vacancy announcement posting has passed, the applications are thoroughly reviewed and selected candidates are shortlisted. If you are shortlisted you may be invited for an assessment. The hiring unit will contact you if that is the case.

The assessments vary depending of the specific function, however it will often start with a technical assessment followed by a competency based interview.

Recruitment times can vary. On average, it takes around one to three months, however, in some cases it may take longer.
