Skilled Pizza Makers are employed by restaurants or fast food pizza chains to prepare pizzas for customer consumption. They prepare various kinds of pizzas, depending on customers’ orders, and ensure that food safety guidelines are adhered to.
AJ’s Brooklyn Pizza Joint is looking for a Skilled Pizza Maker to prepare high-quality pizzas according to customers’ orders. The pizza maker’s responsibilities include preparing pizza dough, cutting, grating, or slicing various ingredients, and removing pizza debris from the pizza ovens. You should also be able to maintain a clean workstation at all times.
To be successful as a pizza maker, you should ensure that kitchen safety protocol is properly followed. Ultimately, a top-notch pizza maker should be able to train and mentor kitchen staff.
Skilled Pizza Makers Responsibilities:
- Preparing pizza dough, sauces, and various toppings, such as tomatoes, peppers, mushrooms, onions, and meats.
- Monitoring the temperature of the pizza ovens as well as cooking times.
- Preparing high-quality pizzas according to company recipes.
- Monitoring inventory and placing orders for more supplies as needed.
- Cleaning workstations before pizza preparation.
- Ensuring that all utensils and cooking equipment are sterilized before each use.
- Plating or packaging pizzas accordingly.
- Managing all food order slips and ensuring that customers’ orders are completed in a timely manner.
- Disposing of expired or spoiled ingredients at the end of each shift.
Skilled Pizza Makers Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- A food handler’s license is preferred.
- Proven food preparation and food handling experience.
- Working knowledge of proper food handling procedures.
- The ability to follow standardized recipes.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- The ability to work in a team.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Exceptional customer service skills.

WE ARE PIZZA MAKERS
AJ’s Brooklyn Pizza is growing, and looking to add to our team. Join the most legit crew of Pizza Makers in Vancouver.
Day & evening shifts available, must have a valid work permit, and have open availability. You will be required to close the kitchen multiple times per week.
$19-$24/hr plus tips to start depending on experience. If you don’t have pizza making experience, but have experience working in a kitchen and love pizza we want to hear from you!
Position available for pizza maker/prep cook (full time)
One would be preparing and completing orders on the main line in the kitchen when needed, as well as completing daily prep lists for large scale production items. Day to day duties would include but not be limited to (dependant on shift):
- Completing orders for takeout and in house dining (this includes stretching fresh pizza dough, cooking pizzas in gas fired ovens, cutting and boxing pizzas)
- Preparing various cold sauces
- Stretching and baking specialty pizza doughs
- Various intermediate knife work
- Working directly with kitchen lead to ensure par levels are met
- Adhering to and upholding a set standard of quality for fundamental prepped goods
We currently offer Extended Health Benefits to staff after 3 consecutive months of employment. LMIA is a possibility for the right candidate after 6 consecutive months.
