CALL FOR PROPOSALS: The Pandemic Fund’s second call for proposals is an opportunity for countries to access funding to augment health security and pandemic preparedness, prevention, and response capacity building efforts.

The funding envelope for the second call for proposals is $500M, with single-country and multi-country proposal caps of $25 and $40M, respectively.

The Pandemic Fund aims to provide a dedicated stream of additional, long-term funding for critical pandemic prevention, preparedness, and response (PPR) functions in eligible countries, and will support and reinforce capacity building and implementation of pandemic PPR under the International Health Regulations (IHR) (2005) and other internationally endorsed legal frameworks, consistent with a One Health approach.

The second Call for Proposals continues to prioritize high-impact investments in the following priority areas, in recognition of the high demand for funding in these areas:

1) early warning and disease surveillance systems,

2) laboratory systems, and
