Programme Structure and Application Process
Selected young professionals will be assigned to specific divisions within the WTO Secretariat based on organizational priorities and the applicants’ areas of interest. During their one-year tenure, participants will immerse themselves in the workings of the WTO, contributing actively to its initiatives and projects.

Eligibility Criteria and Requirements
Education:
Candidates must possess an advanced university degree in fields such as economics, international relations, law, or environmental studies, relevant to WTO’s work, by the time of application.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Familiarity with WTO operations and international trade issues.
- Proficiency in English, with additional fluency in French or Spanish considered advantageous.
- Strong analytical and drafting skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multicultural environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to and passion for international trade and multilateralism.
Work Experience:
A minimum of two years of relevant professional experience is required.
Nationality:
Preference will be given to applicants from WTO Members with limited representation in the WTO Secretariat, particularly those from developing and least developed countries.
