Requirements and skills

  • Proven work experience as a Clinical Coordinator or similar role

  • Strong organizational, administrative and planning skills
  • Expertise in working under pressure and reacting effectively to emergency situations
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

The Staff Coordinator will work closely with the Director of Nursing Services, playing a pivotal role in supporting and enhancing the functionality and efficiency of Guardian HealthCare’s Nursing services. This role requires an individual who can manage multiple tasks simultaneously, ensuring that the Director’s professional needs are met comprehensively and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

Administrative Support:

Assist the Director of Nursing Services in daily administrative tasks including scheduling, correspondence, report generation, and document management.
Coordinate departmental meetings, including preparing agendas, recording minutes, and disseminating information.

Scheduling & Staffing:

Manage the nursing staff schedule, ensuring proper shift coverage and addressing any staffing concerns.
Collaborate with nursing leadership to identify staffing needs and participate in the recruitment process as necessary.

Communication:

Serve as a primary point of contact for nursing staff, addressing inquiries and redirecting more complex issues to the Director as necessary.
Foster positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Reporting & Documentation:

Assist in the collection and analysis of departmental data.
Prepare regular reports regarding staff performance, patient feedback, and other relevant metrics for review by the Director.

Training & Development:

Coordinate with the Director to identify training needs and organize training sessions for nursing staff.
Maintain up-to-date records of staff training, certifications, and professional development.

Special Projects:

Work closely with the Director on various projects as assigned, ensuring they are executed effectively and within the stipulated time frame.

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Prior experience in healthcare, particularly in a nursing or clinical setting, is an advantage.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in office software, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
