Program Overview
An IT Technician is a professional who is responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing hardware & software components of the organization’s computers. They also support these systems through remote access or site visits as needed by management teams within their company.
Power Staffing Solutions is looking for a qualified IT Technician that will install and maintain computer systems and networks aiming for the highest functionality. You will also “train” users of the systems to make appropriate and safe usage of the IT infrastructure.
A successful IT Technician must have a thorough knowledge of computer software and hardware and a variety of internet applications, networks and operating systems. The ideal candidate will also have great troubleshooting abilities and attention to detail.
The goal is to build and maintain updated and efficient computer systems and networks to optimize the role of technology on business sustainability.
Responsibilities
- Set up workstations with computers and necessary peripheral devices (routers, printers etc.)
- Check computer hardware (HDD, mouses, keyboards etc.) to ensure functionality
- Install and configure appropriate software and functions according to specifications
- Develop and maintain local networks in ways that optimize performance
- Ensure security and privacy of networks and computer systems
- Provide orientation and guidance to users on how to operate new software and computer equipment
- Organize and schedule upgrades and maintenance without deterring others from completing their work
- Perform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems (repair or replace parts, debugging etc.)
- Maintain records/logs of repairs and fixes and maintenance schedule
- Identify computer or network equipment shortages and place orders
Requirements and skills
- Proven experience as IT Technician or relevant position
- Excellent diagnostic and problem solving skills
- Excellent communication ability
- Outstanding organizational and time-management skills
- In depth understanding of diverse computer systems and networks
- Good knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles
- Degree in Computer Science, engineering or relevant field
- Certification as IT Technician will be an advantage (e.g. CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional)

Position Overview:
Our client, one of the leading organizations in the SaaS industry, is rapidly growing. Their management is in search of a sharp IT Technician who has substantial troubleshooting experience and will be responsible for designing and maintaining computer systems and networks.
What will you be doing?
· Implement, maintain, and support office technology, including desktops/laptops, printers, Wi-Fi, routers, and other related equipment.
· Oversee IT vendor management, coordinating services for phone, internet, and other external providers.
· Handle Microsoft 365 and Azure cloud platforms, with a strong understanding of Microsoft Cloud technology.
· Maintain expertise in network and cloud security, ensuring the construction of secure networks.
· Possess comprehensive knowledge of Windows 10/11 imaging, security protocols, and group policies.
· Demonstrate familiarity with mobile device management, particularly Intune, for effective device administration.
· Manage applications and security profiles on employees’ computers, ensuring data protection and system integrity.
· Offer assistance in configuring and managing VPNs for secure remote access.
· Successfully manage employee technology across multiple global offices.

· Identify shortages in computer or network equipment and initiate necessary orders.
· Undertake any other duties as assigned.
Must Haves:
· 5+ years of related working experience
· Demonstrated expertise in the following technologies: PostgreSQL, Linux, Azure, PowerShell scripting, Windows Scripting, AngularJS, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
· Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
· Profound understanding of various computer systems and networks.
· Strong knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles.

Salary: From $80,000.00 per year
