Waterton Lakes GC is a place where wildlife—deer, elk, moose, and the occasional cougar and bear roam. More than 1,400 forms of flora, many species not found anywhere else in Alberta, also call this place “where the mountains meet the prairies” home. The course dates back to
1922 when the original 9 holes were opened. To accommodate demand, a second nine was added, and on Canada Day, 1935, Waterton Lakes expanded to 18 holes. Following input from
Canada’s most famous Golf Course Architect, Stanley Thompson, further course improvements were made through the 1950s.
Lakeland is entering our 3rd season operating the Waterton Lakes Golf Course. We feel we have made great strides in improving the quality of conditions and would like individuals who are willing to work as a team towards a larger goal. We enjoy our work and are proud of the golf course. We have momentum coming into the 2023 season and would like to invite applicants who would like to help us continue to improve.
Golf Course Maintenance Positions available
Starting at $17.50/hr.

Job requirements
- Positive attitude
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Enjoy working outside, willing to work in all types of weather/conditions
- Motivated to ensure the success of the team
- Able to work weekends and holiday mornings
- Must be able to work early mornings. 6:00 AM start times(the sunrise is beautiful!)
Monday-Thursday are 8 hour days.
Saturday-Sunday are shorter days. 4-6 hours depending on productivity.
Friday, you can have the option of working the shortened day, or full 8 hours.
Everyone is expected to work 5-6 days a week, including Friday and one weekend morning.
The job will include but not limited to mowing grass with ride on mowers, raking bunkers, aiding with irrigation, working with hand tools, small landscaping, and all other golf course maintenance.

Previous golf course experience would be an asset and a higher wage can be discussed.
